Professor Richard Lindzen on global warming science

On July 7, 2011, CHUO 89.1 FM The Train's Denis Rancourt interviewed Professor Richard Lindzen (Department of Earth, Atmospheric and Planetary Sciences, MIT) on the broad question of the practice of global warming science.

Why would a warming even as large as 5 degrees C be of concern?

  1. Thanks for that. The contrast with the frothing fanatics like Pierrehumbert is priceless.

The point that "the field couldn't absorb it (the $2bn Bush Sr. pumped into "climate research") so lots of people" jumped onto the gravy train (and have seen the money multiply, and fight tooth and nail not to share their saloon cars, much less disembark) is perhaps the most important point in the "science history" of the "discipline".
