ReplyDeleteThe point that "the field couldn't absorb it (the $2bn Bush Sr. pumped into "climate research") so lots of people" jumped onto the gravy train (and have seen the money multiply, and fight tooth and nail not to share their saloon cars, much less disembark) is perhaps the most important point in the "science history" of the "discipline".
